ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE DISABLED NHS DIRECTORS NETWORK
Full members
- Executive Directors (voting and non-voting) of NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts.
- Non-Executive Directors of NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts.
- Associate Non-Executive Directors of NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts.
- Executive and Non-Executive Directors of Community Interest Companies/Public Sector Mutuals with the following characteristics:
- founded in 2010 or subsequently to manage services to the NHS formerly provided by Primary Care Trusts;
- eligible to join the NHS Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) scheme;
- eligible to join the NHS Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) scheme;
- Voting Board members of NHS Wholly Owned Subsidiary companies.
- Board members of Integrated Care Boards and Place Partnership Boards (or equivalent).
- Board members of NHS Arms Length Bodies
Associate members
- Individuals attending boards as part of programmes such as the NExT Director scheme designed to prepare them for appointment as non-executive directors of NHS bodies, for the duration of their placement with an NHS organisation under the programme.
- Former full members of the Disabled NHS Directors’ Network for a period of up to 12 months from their retirement from the appointment that qualified them for membership
