Meeting with NHSE board disability champion

Julian Kelly is the disability champion on the NHS board and took a short break from his primary role as Chief Financial Officer for NHS England to meet the DNDN Steering Group.  The disability champion role is relatively new, so he came to the meeting in listening mode but has committed to a further meeting in early 2023. 

DNDN co-chair Peter Reading commented afterwards “We were very impressed at the amount of time Julian spent with us this evening.  He is clearly very committed to supporting the work that we are doing and the wider interests of disabled NHS staff.  We look forward to working with him in his disability champion role over the coming months.”
